Summer in the Yakima Valley Is in Full Swing

There's a reason we love calling the Yakima Valley home. Long sunny days, orchard-lined roads, and a summer calendar packed with the kind of down-to-earth fun that makes this place special. Whether you're grabbing a lawn chair for an evening concert or heading out to celebrate the valley's hop-growing roots, there's something happening nearly every week this season.

Here's what we don't want you to miss.

🌻 Moxee Hop Festival — August 6–8

Head out to Moxee City Park for the Yakima Valley's biggest celebration of its hop-farming heritage. Now in its next chapter as "HopTown USA," the festival kicks off Thursday evening with live music and an evening DJ, rolls into Friday with vendors, contests, and karaoke, and wraps up Saturday with a pancake breakfast, parade, and a full day of family-friendly festivities. Add in a beer garden pouring local favorites and you've got a true taste of the valley in one weekend.

When: Thursday, August 6 – Saturday, August 8 Where: Moxee City Park, S Rivard Rd, Moxee

🎸 Yakima Federal Downtown Summer Nights

Thursday evenings on Historic North Front Street belong to live music this summer. This free, all-ages concert series pairs an opening act with a headlining band for two hours of good music, local food, and downtown energy. Bring a chair, grab dinner from a local vendor, and settle in.

When: Thursdays, 6–9 pm — remaining dates: August 13 & August 27 Where: Historic North Front Street, Downtown Yakima Cost: Free

🌅 Franklin Park Summer Sunset Concert Series

For a more laid-back evening, Franklin Park is the spot. Spread out a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy live music as the sun goes down over one of Yakima's most beautiful parks. It's the kind of simple, feel-good tradition that sums up summer in the valley.

When: Fridays, 6–8 pm — remaining dates: July 31, August 7 & August 14 Where: Franklin Park, 2101 Tieton Drive, Yakima Cost: Free

However You Spend It, Enjoy the Season

From hop fields to front-porch concerts, the Yakima Valley has a way of making summer feel unhurried and worth showing up for. We hope to see you out there.
